§ 1. Scope and definition

These terms and conditions are binding on all contracts with Box at Work Amsterdam B.V., represented by Gerrit Jan Reinders, Plesmanweg 17, 7602 PD Almelo, the Netherlands, hereinafter referred to as the provider or supplier.

The subject of the contract is to provide the service for the storage of movable property of the customer, the sale and rental of moving boxes and other goods through the “Box at Work model” or the “Boxie24 model”.

All stored objects, belongings or personal belongings of the customer are referred to as stored goods. "Customer" here means the contractual partner of the provider, regardless of the legal relationship.

§ 1.2 Identity

§ 2. Purpose and method specific to the stored goods via the Box at Work model

  1. The subject of the contract is the collection, storage and return of the customer's stored goods in the provider's boxes, but also applies to the customer's own boxes, loose items and goods in the provider's storage areas.

    The Dutch Civil Code will be applied to this contractual relationship in addition to the provisions even if the customer is a consumer.

  2. The contract is as follows: the provider delivers the desired number of empty boxes to the customer, on a date desired by the customer (within 1-10 working days), the provider collects the filled boxes from the customer and transports them to the storage location of the customer. provider.

    At the end of the storage period, the provider transports the stored goods back to the customer and collects the emptied boxes on a date to be determined by the customer (within 1-10 working days). The customer can also use his own boxes, with a capacity of up to 84 liters.

  3. The provider grants the customer the right to use the contract only for the function of storage of authorized goods.

  4. The invoiced storage period starts on the day that the filled boxes or moving boxes are collected from the customer. It ends with the return of the boxes or boxes to the customer. The contract term is initially three, six or twelve months, depending on which rate is chosen. If the contract is not terminated within 24 hours before the end of the contract, the contract will be extended by one day. The right to terminate the contract for important reasons remains unaffected.

  5. At least two goods must be stored.

  6. The customer must ensure that the goods are properly packaged (e.g. by using bubble wrap or blankets) so that the goods are not damaged (e.g. by pressure, stress or temperature changes) especially when it comes to fragile goods such as glass and porcelain. If a box or box is not completely filled, the customer must fill it further (eg with newspapers).

  7. Other goods that do not fit in a box can also be transported and stored up to the maximum stated size. The customer must ensure that each item is properly packaged for transport and storage.

  8. Each box or box may only be filled to a maximum of 25 kg and only so that it can be properly closed. Boxes or boxes that are heavier or overloaded do not have to be transported by the provider.

  9. The following goods are not accepted and / or stored by the provider:

    • Boxes or boxes whose content has a value of more than € 100.00,

    • Goods prohibited from transporting or storing, or subject to special legal requirements. For example (but not just these): weapons, drugs, explosives, radioactive materials, chemicals, live animals and plants, remains of animals or humans, unpaid tobacco or alcohol;   

    • Goods that can damage others or other goods,

    • Liquid substances that are not in anti-leakage packaging;

    • Perishable goods;

    • Valuable metals, stones, jewelery, means of payment, checks; 

    • The above list is not exhaustive and the Provider reserves the right to refuse or return any goods if they appear inappropriate or violate company policy;

  10. If the customer violates any of the points mentioned in §2.9, the customer will be held responsible for the damage incurred by the provider;

  11. Insofar as the provider does not claim any right of retention, the customer can request the boxes or moving boxes back at any time, take a look at these boxes or adjust their contents. This process goes as follows: the customer requests a temporary drop-off from the online provider. The provider delivers the boxes or boxes within one working day and collects them again, if and when desired. This offer does not affect the cancellation period or the duration of the contract.

  12. The provider has the right to have third parties carry out the transport and storage. 

  13. Every box or box that has been stored and every stored item that does not fit in a box is insured up to a maximum of € 100 of the time value.

  14. If a return is not available, the customer will first be contacted for further instructions. If there is no coverage, the provider is authorized to open the boxes or boxes for the purpose of finding contact details.

§ 2.1 Rules for Self Storage - Boxie24 model

  1. The contract is as follows: The supplier collects the goods per m² from a location specified by the customer and transports them to the supplier's warehouse.

  2. The storage sizes shown are approximate and a difference between the size in the contract and the exact size of the used storage does not entitle the customer to change the price.

  3. Boxie24 offers the first month for free, in Amsterdam, Duivendrecht and Amstelveen, if the customer stays at least 6 months and pays in advance, to prevent abuse of this offer model.

  4. All points of §2 apply.

§ 2.2 Billing

  1. The storage costs and other costs accruing to the customer in connection with the contract, such as taxes and possible transaction costs, will be charged on a monthly basis through the selected payment method on the calendar day corresponding to the start of the paying portion of the contract of the contract of the customer.

  2. The customer can change the preferred payment method by visiting the website and clicking on the link "your account". If a payment is not successfully cleared, due to expiration of validity, insufficient funds, or other reasons and you do not change your payment method or cancel your account, we may deny you access to your goods until we receive a valid payment method.

  3. The storage costs remain the same for the first 6 months after commissioning. After this period, the provider reserves the right to periodically review and adjust the cost of the contract. However, any price change or service change of the provider will take effect no earlier than 30 days after informing the customer.

  4. If the storage costs and / or other costs accruing to the customer in relation to the contract have not been paid within 30 days of the expiry date, the provider has the right to: terminate the contract and charge additional costs for the damage incurred by the provider and his storage is committed. The provider therefore reserves the right to dispose of and possibly dispose of the stored goods at its sole discretion.

  5. When a storage reservation is made, the customer has no obligation to book and is free to cancel this reservation at any time.

  6. After adding a payment method, which decides the booking and the contract, the customer can still cancel the booking free of charge, up to the effective date of the contract, also known as the withdrawal date.

  7. The contract requires a minimum storage of three months and a payment obligation for the customer. If the customer wishes to terminate the contract earlier, the customer can request the return delivery of the stored goods, after settling the account for the minimum residence time.

§ 3. Rules specific for renting boxes

  1. The contract is as follows: the seller delivers the desired number of empty boxes to the customer. The salesperson collects the emptied boxes from the customer on a date to be determined by the customer.

  2. If there is no agreement for the rental period, the following applies: a rental period of 2 weeks. If the contract is not terminated within 24 hours before the expiry of the contract, the contract will be extended by one week.

  3. Boxie24 offers a free pick-up and delivery when the customer purchases a minimum of 20 boxes and stays for at least 3 months.  

§ 4.Rules specific to the sale of goods

  1. The goods offered by the provider remain his property until full payment has been received.   

§ 5. Liability and Limitations 

  1. Apart from liability for material and legal shortcomings, the provider is fully liable, insofar as the cause of the damage is based on intent or gross negligence.

  2. The provider is also liable for the slight negligent violation of essential obligations (obligations that if they are violated prevent the purpose of the contract) and for the violation of main obligations (obligations that allow the contract to be properly implemented) limited to rectifying foreseeable, typically occurring damage.

  3. Provider will, when requested to do so, permit inspections and controls by local authorities in the warehouse and will not notify the customer.

§ 6. General information 

  1. The provider is only obliged to take back completely emptied boxes. The contract is extended if the boxes are not completely emptied.

  2. If a delivery or pick-up cannot be carried out, due to negligence of the customer, a standard amount of € 10 will be added. However, it is permitted for the customer to prove that no or little damage has been caused.

  3. If a legitimate debit note cannot be credited to the customer's account due to a customer error, the supplier will charge the costs incurred with compensation of € 5.00. The same is true for credit card chargebacks due to customer error. In both cases, however, the customer may demonstrate that little or no damage has been caused.

  4. The customer is only entitled to set-off if his counterclaims are legally established or are undisputed or recognized by the supplier.

  5. The customer can only exercise the right of retention if the claims arise from the same contractual relationship.  

  6. If the customer is a business customer, a public corporation or a special fund is public, the following shall be considered as the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts for all disputes between the parties: Dutch law or litigation to € 5,000 mediation. This also applies to claims other than contractual ones.

§ 7. Non-compliance

  1. If the customer does not comply with the conditions in this agreement, as well as is unable to pay the billing obligations in § 2.2, the provider has the right to terminate the contract at any time.

  2. In the event of termination of the contract between the customer and the provider, the customer will be informed and the stored goods will be returned when all outstanding accounts have been settled.

  3. If the customer ignores the payment obligations for a period longer than the payment term described in §2.2, the provider has the right to transfer the outstanding accounts to a collection agency.

How much is the pick-up?

The pick-up is free of charge up to 4m2 from the ground floor, 1st floor and buildings with elevators. For all other jobs we charge a small pick-up fee.

Do you also pick-up outside of the city area?

We do pick up outside of the cities, if the distance to the warehouse does not exceed 50km. A km-charge applies.

Would you like to change your pick-up appointment?

You can always cancel a pick-up appointment free of charge up to 48 hours in advance. Please note that we have to charge a cancellation fee for appointments that are being cancelled on short notice. Less than 48 hours in advance: 50% of one month’s rent. Less than 24 hours in advance: 100% of one month’s rent.

Please provide us with all relevant information on your return, e.g. detailed description of items for partial return, parking situation, name on the doorbell etc).
